Hoshi ni Natta Shounen (The Boy who became a Star), Yagira Yuuya and Tokiwa Takako

Yagira Yuuya's new movie, Hoshi no Natta Shounen will be shown from 16 Jul onwards and there will be a promotional campaign around the country beginning from 6 Jun where he will appear with the female elephant Randy in 10 venues. Tokiwa Takako acts as his mother in this movie. Yagira went to Thailand to learn how to be an elephant trainer in summer 04 in order to play this role as a youth who aspires to be an elephant trainer.

Yagira Yuuya made a special appearance for the movie at Shibuya's Cine Front where part of the proceeds from the Chibizou Randy Donation Drive were donated to Japan Unicef for the tsunami victims. The fund was collected from 20 yen per ticket sold for this movie. Since ticket sales exceeded 1 million visits, Yagira represented the movie company to present the sum of 20 million yen to Unicef's ambassador.
